ABOUT CLAIRE MANNING ILLUSTRATION AND DESIGN
Claire Manning lives her life in pursuit of cute. Claire is an illustrator by formal education and learned the art of screen printing through the guidance of helpful experts and lots of practice. In 2011 she brought these two loves together to start printing her charming illustrations on various natural fibre products.
Claire's style is best described as whimsical and fun. She loves using bold colours and characters with loads of expression. Her inspiration is derived from other passions in her life- animals, food, nature and travel. Her product line includes flour sack tea towels, handkerchiefs, pillowcases, swedish dishcloths and tote bags. Each piece in the collection is 100% cotton and hand screen printed with eco friendly, water based ink.
The joyous reactions and connections Claire experiences with the viewers and owners of her art are the constant compass that directs her work. Her goal is to create pieces that are out of the ordinary and inspire that "awwww" reaction. She looks forward to creating long into the future.
